Project: Netflix Silverlight Player Scope Visual Design, UI Design Status Completed - 3rd Qtr.2008 View Site The Netflix streaming video player went through a redesign in the fall of 2008. This was done because as the year had progressed the requirements for the type of functionality needed in the player had evolved. The new player while not undergoing any of the major interaction changes, did introduce a UI button structure and design, that was larger in size, more consistently de- signed and considered situations in which the control elements are not always visible according to the specific occurrence of the player.
